Principal’s Update Letter to Parents for February 2024

We heartily welcome all parents and guardians as they come to visit their children and wards today, 10^th February 2024. It is always a great day full of joy and expectations for our dear students, while for some, it is a mixed feeling of uncertainty and pain. As is customary, we inform and remind parents of some basic things they need to know and act upon. 

Kindly note the following.

1. Registration for all external examinations: WASSCE, NECOSSCE, MOCK and BECE closes on Friday, 16^th February 2024. Late registration attracts a penalty of N10,000 per candidate. 
2. The examination fees remain N74,800 for WASSCE and NECOSSCE, N14,500 for MOCKSSCE and N9,500 for BECE. This payable to St. Francis College 2012801219 – First Bank, or 1015805796 – Zenith Bank. Kindly provide  evidence of payment at the college finance office. 
3. Career Day/Open Day: This will hold on the 9^th March 2024 by 9am at the college hall. It mandatory for all parents to attend as it is on a visiting day.
4. Extension Programme: This is compulsory for all SS3, SS2 and JSS3 students and shall begin on the 25^th March 2024 and end on the 12/4/2024 (3 weeks). The fee is N24,900 and it covers feeding, utility, lesson etc. This is also payable to St. Francis College 2012801219 – First Bank, or 1015805796 – Zenith Bank. Kindly provide evidence of payment at the college finance office.
5. As advised at the PTA general congress of 8^th December 2023, we remind parents to check the number of soft drinks and other food that are allowed on visiting days. Most of these contain preservatives and their excessive consumption impacts negatively on our students’ health. 
6. Fees for the term are:
   1. School fee N68,980 – St. Francis College 2005539730 – First Bank or 1015804483 – Zenith
   2. PTA N2,800 – 2005270516 – First Bank or 1015805796 – Zenith. 
   3. 2^nd Teller, N3,000 for JSS1-3 and N4,000 for SS1-3 students - 2012801219 – First Bank, or 1015805796 – Zenith Bank. 
   4. No complete payment, no examination. 
7. The PTA meeting comes up on the 22^nd March 2024.
