2023/24 Academic Session

1. 1^st Term: Sunday 10^th September, 2023 to Friday 15^th December, 2023 (14 weeks)
2. Holidays: Saturday 16^th December, 2023 to Sunday 7^th January,2024 (3 weeks)
3. 2^nd Term: Sunday 7^th January, 2024 to Friday 22^nd March, 2024 (11 weeks)
4. Holidays: Saturday 23^rd March 2024 to Sunday 14^th April, 2024 (3 weeks)
5. 3^rd Term: Sunday 14^th April, 2024 to Friday 26^th July, 2024 (15 weeks)
6. Holidays: Saturday 27^th July 2024 to Sunday 8^th September, 2024 (6 weeks)

2024/25 Academic Session

1. 1^st Term: Sunday 8^th September, 2024 to Friday 13^th December, 2024 (14 weeks)
2. Holidays: Saturday 14^th December, 2024 to Sunday 5^th January,2025 (3 weeks)

Notes

• All Public and Private Basic and Post Basic Schools in the state are to comply with the provisions of
  the calendar.
• Actual teaching/marking of registers should commence on the first day of school opening.
• The DG Benue State Education Quality Assurance Agency (BEQA) will lead the monitoring team from the first day of resumption to ensure compliance; failure to do so will attract sanctions.
• Public Holidays shall be observed by all schools as may be directed by the Federal or State Government.
• If it becomes necessary to make alteration on the calendar; all concerned shall be notified
  accordingly.
